Hair Color Correction
Having hair color problems? While a hair color disaster can be stressful and upsetting, it is essential to seek professional advice and allow an expert hair colorist advise you on the best course of action. Trust Tori at Salon Bar Hair Salon, she knows how to correct a hair color catastrophe.
What is color correction for hair?
Color correction is about fixing a do-it-yourself color job, or color applied by someone without experience. Fixing a botched hair color can be a complex process but with our experienced stylist, you’re in safe hands! Sometimes to fix the problem, areas of color may need to be stripped while other areas need a toner. Your stylist will work on each part of your hair carefully, ensuring that your color is restored and corrected in the most healthy manner.
Color correction can also fix imbalances or shade problems. Perhaps your highlights have been overexposed to the sun and your hair has become very brassy. Or after frequent hair coloring, you have bands of color where the pigment is overlapped. Salon Bar Hair Salon color expert Tori has the skills to eliminate these color issues.

Balayage is a technique for highlighting the hair, developed by French hair colorists in the ‘70s. These highlights are painted with freehand streaking, in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect. The idea behind the technique is it focuses on a more natural progression and looks more natural as your hair starts to grow out.
With Balayage, not necessarily all the ends will be affected and the transition between dark and light will be much longer and more natural looking. Resulting in a pretty low maintenance routine, since the color placement is done gradual streaking, whereas traditional foil highlights, require more regular visits to the salon.
Balayage is a specialized service, often times requiring a higher beauty budget and more time in the salon each visit. However it is a low maintenance result, yet hair care treatments and routine visits to the salon is vital for achieving and maintaining optimal health and color results.

Microlink Hair Extensions
Hair extensions come in many forms these days: clip ins, tapes ins, sew ins, mircolinks, hair units, frontals and more.
Our most popular hair extension service are Microlinks. We just love them!
If you love to wear majority of your natural hair but don’t want to have to braid any of your hair up, this will be perfect for you.
how do they work?
Micro-link extensions are a technique using tiny beads to link the hair to the extensions. The link is clamped down to secure the extensions to the root of your hair. We specialize in the wefted technique. We believe this technique has less tension than the single stranded technique.
What are the benefits of microlinks?
The greatest benefit of this technique is the versatility. You can treat it as your real hair due to it not having any braids. It’s better than clip-ins because you can sleep in the extensions and it blends perfectly with your natural hair. You’re still able to maintain the health of your natural hair as well, being that your scalp is exposed and all of your hair is out. Therefore, scalp treatments and deep conditioning treatments can still be done. Because there is no braiding, Microlink Extensions are completely flat and seamless. No one will be able to tell that you have extensions. Microlinks are also super secure because of the technique of using the small rings followed by being clamped down. There is no glue used and as long as you have a professional install, maintain, and remove your links, you won’t damage any hair follicles or experience matting.
This is a pretty high maintenance type of hair extensions and should be touched up every 3-5 weeks. If you have fine hair your soft texture may cause the links to not last as long as someone with a thicker texture. The max length of time recommended to wear the extensions between installations is 4 months. Treat the extensions like your natural hair. Wash them as you normally do your hair but with more caution and make sure to consult your stylist anytime you need to have them removed.
